About Me

I am a passionate educator and entrepreneur. In my free time, you may find me testing out business ideas. I absolutely love the aspect of side hustles and I try to inspire others to use their gifts and talents as a side hustle. I am also an ACC AmeriCorps Member and I serve the BEACON After School Program in Moab, UT as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator. I'm dedicated to making a positive impact in youth and adult education in digital literacy while exploring innovative ways to ensure sustainable program funding for the BEACON After School Program.

My Story

In the fall of 2022, I was walking with my children and noticed an architectural firm logo on a gentleman's shirt. I thanked him for the work that his company did on our school's building. When he learned that I created coloring books, his face lit up. It turned out that he is an artist at heart but was told that he had no career in art, so he focused on being an architect. Though he makes good money, his true passion is being an artist. That broke my heart. As someone who enjoys creating, all the time, I wanted to solve this problem. What to do with your passion and better yet, what to do with your college major, even the ones people say are useless? So, I created this free app that enables anyone to get a detailed side hustle idea that could be started through zero-dollar investment. Your input impacts the output. To create Dorm Room Hustles, I first used a platform called Pico, but when I learned about the Create app, I was able to do so much more to make this vision a reality.
